Go Green: Altered Books as Recycled Art

Reduce - Reuse- Recycle
We are really excited about this upcoming demonstration and show! Transforming a used book into a totally unique new piece of art has so many creative possibilities. Gallery artist Kelly Marszycki, will take you through the process used to create an altered book and discuss various materials you can use. She will also have used books on hand for you to take home and use as the basis of your new creation, or you can use a book you already own. Then on June 27th between 10am and 2pm bring your altered book to the gallery and enter it into our jured show of altered books. The opening reception is Sunday June 29th 2-4pm. Space is limited so please call Jan, 860-669-3582 to reserve your space. There is a $10 registration fee, which you can mail to the Gallery, 85 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT .
The Spring Show will still be up during the Altered Book show so plan on enjoying some wonderful art and invite friends and family to come and savor our beautiful location and hospitality.
